3 In By July 7th?
Boro Chief Executive Keith Lamb has today said that he is confident 3 new signings will arrive before the squad report back for training on July 7th.

He told the Evening Gazette, 'We are actively pursuing a number of players, negotiations are going very well and we hope to have most of our incoming transfer activity completed before the players return to training.

'Everything is going well and we are confident of completing two or three new signings soon.'

So, i and most other Boro fans would assume that 2 of those 3 are Didier Digard and James Harper. It has been well documented that Digard is on the verge of a move to Teesside, with terms being sorted, whilst sources from the Madejski have reportedly told various members of the media that Boro have made a bid for Harper.

But, who is the 3rd player? We shall have to wait and see, because with the amount of players we have been linked with it is almost impossible to guess.

I reckon the third one will be a goalkeeper

Carson maybe?

I would be really impressed if Southgate could get Carson in. I believe we wouldn't shift many goals next season if we had him in goal.
26/06/2008 15:59:00
Yeh, would be a good signing. Maybe we can get him in and shift out Jones.
26/06/2008 16:03:00
u would shift goals because ure just as bad as spurs defensivly , if u signed buffon and cannavaro and carvalho then i might rate boro

Cannavaro is coming on 35, sort it out mate. Buffon is rated the best keeper in the world, so somehow, id say no. Carvalho... im mixed, he needs a decent defender next to him. Carvalho likes to run forward where as terry is always the last defender. Spurs defense is *********, and Robinson isnt exactly a more than decent keeper, he has some good moments but makes a lot of mistakes. His positioning leaves a lot to be desired. Our defense is fine, but its Schwarzer, who is just about as shifty as Robinson... thats the reason we leak goals.

im hoping for bradley, digard and annan (stuff harper)
26/06/2008 23:12:00
Defensivly we are sound, its our goalkeeper that has let us down in recen seasons. If we get a decent goalkeeper between the sticks then that takes some of the pressure off our young and improving defence. As for Harper.. I think we need a player like him, he has guile and knows where the goal is.

if robbo is so ***** y have u been linked with him ? oh coz ure ***** ! we have just signed another keeper so you can have another spurs ' bench warmer' to join young mido , even though i think young is good
28/06/2008 09:26:00
Robbo is better than Schwarzer but still shifty. He'll go to Villa anyway so we may as well forget about that one.
