Middlesbrough Transfer News 02/07/08
Spanish team Real Betis are believed to be on the trail of Boro's former club captain.

The La Liga outfit are keen to strengthen their midfield and think Boateng, with his experience, will fit into their team very well.

He would be mad not to turn down any offer from Spain to be honest. The 32-year-old can now have his sights set on a retirement villa on the Mediterranean.

A fee of around 1.5million is reportedly going to be offered to Middlesbrough, which seems a little bit to low. I'm sure Boro will hold out for more and wait to hear from other clubs offers before agreeing the sale of George.
